Ray Mendoza was a true American Hero & one of the finest men that The Ohio State University has ever produced. Raymond “War Hammer 6” Mendoza was a man that never knew how to quit and he lived everyday to make a difference. Ray is one of the greatest people that I ever knew and I am blessed to have been able to call him my friend.

My love and prayers go out to his beautiful wife Karen and their wonderful children Kiana and Alex. Ray put his family, friends and his loyalty to our country first and always put himself last. He will hold a special place in our hearts forever, our hearts being his family, his Alma Mater, his friends and especially all of us at Hammer House.

Ray choose to stay and fight for our country and because of that a great man was taken from this world. We will miss you so much Ray and thank you for being such an amazing friend to me for all our lives. I love you always Brother…
